Chief Design Engineer

Summary
of Duties:
Plan & design custom roof trusses; custom design & fabrication of hangars; load calculations for structural integrity
of roof systems; cost estimation & material analysis; utilize specialized Mitek software for design and analysis; verification
of reactions/loads and compliance with current codes; technical consultation with builders, contractors, architects and professional
engineers regarding construction projects; coordination between design and production department in terms of progress schedules, work
flow and deliveries; inspection & maintenance of computerized equipment; computer numerically controlled Alpine Linear saw and
Virtek laser saw projection system for truss assembly; computer networking; updating software with respect to industrial needs.
Qualifications:
Requires
a Masters' degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field of study plus 2 years as Desgin Engineer. Alternatively, will
accept a Bachelors' degree plus 3 years of progressive experience. Requires demonstrated experience with interpreting & analyzing
complex architectural and structural prints; knowledge of software such as Mitek, E-frame and Cybersort for truss manufacturing.
